Children's Sunday

Well, everybody did a great job with the new Children's Sunday format! Remember we will be joining the adults on the last Sunday of every month; quarterly student's will receive "point certificates" that can be turned in at the Redemption Store as well as participating in the service. Thank you for your support as we continue to transition into "New Beginnings"

I hope that everyone has a great day at school tomorrow!! Remember to join us on Wednesdays for fellowship dinner and Bible study; starting at 6:00PM.

Next weekend is the Super Bowl and I want to remind you about our Souper Bowl of Caring. Crossroads goal is to collect 150 cans of soup before next Sunday-we're about a third of the way there!! If you can donate, please bring your donations to the Ministry Center-located at 3838 State Road 44 in New Smyrna Beach-anytime throughout the week or to church with you on Wednesday or Sunday!! Thanks for your support, all donations will be delivered to Halifax Urban Ministries: Food Pantry.

January Update

Hi guys!! Man, the weather has been beautiful around here lately!! I hope that everybody (who has a day off) enjoys their day off!! This could be a wonderful time to talk about how BIG God is or to study your memory verse!!

Psalm 145:3 Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise: his greatness no one can fathom.

I also wanted to let all of our volunteers know that this Thursday, January 22nd we will be meeting to discuss the year and Crossroads Kids Ministry. 7:00PM, at my house. I look forward to seeing you there and if you are interested in volunteering there will be plenty of opportunity!! (so stay posted!)

This coming Sunday is Children's Sunday. There will be no Children's Church: only nursery will be provided. I think that we've been off to a great start! Remember to join us on Wednesday nights as we walk through the Bible with lessons that will take us from Genesis to Revelations!

...and remember that God never runs out of time!! If you need to talk to him he's always ready!! He'll always love you and he'll always be with you!!

God's Holiness is Awesome

Hey guys!! (I know it's Monday: sorry this wasn't posted Sunday night) We had a wonderful Sunday!! It was nice to have guests and I hope that they had a great time. We're going to be asking ourselves the question: "How BIG is God?" for the next two months and I hope that you'll continue to join us!

Isn't it awesome that a perfect and holy God loves us? We read about God's holiness in the book of Psalms yesterday and then we came up with our very own. Everyone did a great job and I hope to see you on Wednesday night!!

Crossroads Kids Psalm:
God's Holiness is Awesome!
Because he's perfect,
Because he's special;
Because he loves us,
Because he's important:
And I can praise him!
Remember to work on your memory verse!! See you guys soon!

ipromise

Don't forget that we are all back on schedule! I hope that you guys had a great day back to school!! We're going to be talking about promises on Wednesday night; be sure to join us for dinner at 6:00PM followed by Bible study at 6:30PM.

ipromise is going to help us relate to God's promises and the promises that we make to our friends and family members. ipods have been at the top of many kids wish lists and just as we listen to music on these popular gadgets we can listen to God's Word to know what he promised us and how we can keep the promises we make to others!

Isaiah 64:8

Today was a great class. Remember to work on your memory verse!

Isaiah 64:8 says:
Yet, O Lord, you are our Father.
We are the clay; you are the potter.
We all are formed by your hand.

Remember that God molded you just the way he wants you to be. When you say mean and not nice things to others you aren't treating them the way God wants you to. Think about how God is our friend and creator and how we can show his love and kindness to our friends and family.

Have a great week back at school and I look forward to seeing you Wednesday night!
